Timber Champ Lift Spring
This small spring rides along a roller bearings attached to the push plate (along the top of the main beam) and goes up into a divot on the bottom of the rack. The function is to lift the rack off the pinion when not engaged. If your splitter is clinking from the rack dropping onto the pinion without being engaged, you likely need this spring.
